My system has been working smoothly for a year (with
updated drivers from the ATI site) but after installing
Windows XP(SP1) it has gone "haywire". Every operation
is at least 10 times slower and the mouse is virtually
uncontrollable. The system is totally unworkable! After
several frustrating days I have found the following:
The original ATI driver on CD that is over a year
old (and an updated ATI driver from the Microsoft site)
works with XP(SP1). The last 3 updated drivers from the
ATI site do NOT work with XP(SP1). The latest ATI
drivers do work with the original Windows XP.

I need both XP(SP1) and the latest drivers from ATI for a
number of reasons. Any suggestions as to how this can be
achieved????

I hope somebody can help.

I have installed every driver up to the 3.4 from ATI and have never had any
problem. They most certainly do work with SP1.
