When I click on the icon to go to the internet I get an
error message from the Runtime library (?). The message
reads: "Runtime Error! Program: C:\Program Files\Internet
Explorer\iexplore.exe abnormal program termination". Is
this bad and how do I fix it? Please help! Thanks.

Try Start>Run Type: sfc /scannow. Have your WinXP CD in the Drive.

Thanks for the help Rich...however, I have another
question, I don't have a "WinXP" CD. I have two CD's
that came with the system: 1) The Compaq Restore Plus and
2)"Compaq Operting System CD". Are any of these two the
one I should put into the computer? Also, this problem
only happens on my identity - it doesn't happen when
anyone else in the house signs on the computer.
