answering phone while on internet

I am using XP. When I am on the internet with call
waiting on, I get a pop-up that says "You are ignoring an
incoming call, click OK." How do I hook up my phone line
so that I will be able to pick up the phone and answer
the call? I have tried a double phone jack with no luck.

Assuming that you have a "call waiting" modem (there are many different
brands), I would suggest you either read the modem manual or go to the web
site of the manufacturer and look for their customer support.

in addition to the good advice crusty notes - the
3rd party market offers several hw/sw solutions -
incl 'catchacall' - that works quite well - and
avail here in pgh area thru radio shack - tho
there are several others avail

they usually incl handling 'fax units also
