Changing default printer takes a long time

Hi
Changing the default printer with SetDefaultPrinter (network printers) takes
a long time (about 5 - 10 seconds). What can I do to speed this up?
Windows 2000 Professional and WindowsXP Professional. The printers are
installed on a Windows2003-Server and Windows2000-Server. Network-Connection
via TCP/IP

5 to 10 seconds is not abnormal, it depends on your server.
