Problems receiving faxs

Can you advise me why my fax in wins XP sends ok but half way through receiving a fax it stops and says an error has occurred while receiving your fax

Does this happen with every single sender? Are there any more helpful error
messages or anything in Event viewer?

the error message only says that and no more & this happens with all incoming faxes

I have the same problem. 56 seconds into receiving a fax I get the
followiing error message: "An error occurred while receiving the fax." I
have successfully received one test fax from a friend and on "junk" fax, but
I am waiting for a business to fax me a single sheet of paper with
information that I need. How can I fix this problem?

I have a SmartLink 56 K DialUp Modem and am Connected To AOL using a ADSL
Broadband Modem. I managed to send a Fax to Dubai but could not receive a
reply. As with others I got "Error occurred while receiving fax". I tried
using the config wizard but still wouldn't work

I am having this problem receiving faxes too. The sending fax machine gives
an error 344, which means the line has been interrupted. Are there any
settings i can change my end to stop this interruption?
