On my home network, I am trying to access one system
running Win2k with Remote Desktop on another system
running XP, but I don't know how. What do I need to setup
or install on Win2K so I can access it with XP. Thanks for
your Post.

Hi Franklin,
With the remote desktop client you can only connect to Windows XP machines
or Windows 2000/2003 Server with terminal services installed. If your
running 2000 Professional you cannot connect to it using the remote desktop
client, instead you would need some 3rd party software such as VNC Viewer or
remote administrator.

Start/Run type "mstsc /console" to log into the console session using RD to
access terminal services.

2000 Server includes programs to run on the client. I don't have it =
installed but read 2000's TS help.
It's called Terminal Server. Server allows 2 connections for =
administrative purposes or you can pay and have however many you pay =
for.
Perhaps you can use netmeeting which is installed on XP and 2000 and has =
remote desktop feature built in. Netmeeting allows any 9x or NT =
operating system to connect to any other 9x/NT system. This is the only =
all platform compatable.
