Does anyone know of a way to copy a file that has a CRC error? My daughter
sent me an mp4 file [on a CD] of her new house. When I tried to play it I
got an error about a third of the way into it. I decided that I would copy
it onto my hard drive and try again. However, we I try to copy it, it gets
to the same spot (about a third of the way into it) and then abends with a
CRC error.

I'm running XP Pro, SP2 with all of the updates.

Is there a way or a utility that would let me copy it and maybe even
fix/eliminate the CRC error?

A bad file is a bad file. Copying it to the hard drive won't help.
