XPHome user accounts question

I am contemplating using the "Guest" account on my XP Home for the security
reasons.

If I turn it ON will it add the extra step of clicking on the Guest user
account at bootup? If so, can I configure it to open Guest as the default
account and skip the extra step?

When needed I understand that I can access my administrator's account by
using "run as..." or Fast Switching, am I correct with this?
