IIS install hangs on XP Pro

hi all,

i just got a nice new laptop from Dell with XP pro on it.
i need to install IIS so that i can work on web apps in VS.NET.

the IIS install hangs after displaying the message "completing
configuration of SMTP service".

the progress bar is at about 80-90%.

anybody got any ideas?

Hi,You have described EXACTLY the same problem that I am having.Unfortuantely, I have yet to find a resolution to this issue, having tried a number of times. I have had to restore windows back to a previous checkpoint each time.
