Media player problem

XP Pro SP2

I have just developed a problem with Media Player.
When I start the program, a button appears on the taskbar at the bottom but
the Player does not show on the screen.
Task manager shows the application is running but it does not appear.

Any help please.

What happens if you r-click the "button" and select maximize or move?
