Recently my sister was checking her email and she found
one she didn't know. She attempted to delete this mail
and as soon as she hit the delete button her computer
froze up and stopped. When she tries to turn her
computer on now all she gets is the following
message..."Windows cannot open because a file is missing
or corrupt. System32\DRIVERS\pci.sys" Is there a way to
fix this? I was told to run the recovery cosole (?) and
it would straighten everything up. What is this thing
and where do I find it? Can I go into her computer
remotely and run her system restore? She bought this
computer about 6 months or so ago. The warranty was only
for 3 months. What can I do to help her? She can't
afford another machine. Anyone with any
knowledge....please help. Thank you much.

Try here
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;en-us;q319136 If your
sister has the WinXP CD then
you could try a Repair Install. www.dougknox.com WinXPTips Left
