Cannot fin Bluetooth Configuration

I have two identical laptops, I have bluetooth on one of them and working
fine, on another I recently went to install bluetooth and it is there in
device manager but when I try to configure it in control pannel the bluetooth
configuration icon isn't there, I tried running the bthprops.cpl from KB
883258 but nothing comes up, but it doesn't on the working PC either.

Without the icon I can't configure bluetooth for this laptop and accept
connections to setup a modem.

I appear to be using the WIDCOMM driver and bluetooth is labeled bluetooth
by HP as it's on a Compaq nx7010 machine.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

you may want to look at the thread from 10-16-05 " bluetooth not working "
at my ( JCE ) post. Maybe it will help you. Widcomm drivers are usually
tricky to install, so if you don't see the post I made, let me know and I'll
re-post it for you.
