Please can somebody help!! i am plugging my camcorder into a usb port on my
pc, but it does not find new hardware. Whats wrong??

What happens if you connect the camcorder to a firewire port?

Hi Cari,

I dont have the cable for a firewire port. Can i just get this in any
computer shop?

Yes. It's usually 4 pin (camcorder end) to 6 pin (PC end) that you need.

Thanks Cari,

Do i need a fire wire card? I'm sorry, quite new to PC's i have a fire wire
port that i keep my i pod updated with.

The best way to capture digital video to a PC is via firewire. USB, even
USB 2.0 results in dropped frames.
