Windows XP locked up today and when I try to reboot, I
just get a black screen after the POST. I've tried Safe
Mode and Last Known Good Configuration, but no luck.
When I try these, I get:
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partion(1)\WINDOWS\system32
\ntoskrnl.exe
I don't know if the system is hanging up while running
this program or if it's the next command that it is
hanging up on. I don't seem to find a fix in the
database for this and running an install of XP will wipe
out my data which I want to avoid. When I go to Recovery
Console, it appears that all the files and directories
are in tact.
Any help would be appreciated.
