The other day, I think monday, I turned on the computer,
and everything was going fine, and when I clicked on my
name to go into Windows XP, it came up as if I was
logging on for the first time, and my old account's
files, such as My Documents and My Pictures, where I had
EVERYTHING saved, isn't letting me in. When I go to
c:/documents and settings/ and double click my name, it
says Access is denied. Can anyone help me either access
these files?

START -> Help and Support
search for "take ownership"
Click on "Take ownership of a file or folder"
Do that to your old Documents and Settings folder.

thank you for the help, but when I right click, there is
no Security tab. Is that the ONLY way to fix it?
