View Full Version : Address Bar Problems

Every couple of weeks for no apparent reason I will open
Explorer and the address bar is gone. I go to view and
recheck the toolbar section. Address shows back up in bar
but it moves all the way to far right and is greyed out
(not active) so I can't use it.

The only fix I have found so far is to do a system
restore to previous day and then it shows back up. Then
everything is fine for a few weeks or longer. This has
happened 4 times now.

Anyone else had this or know of another fix. I don't like
using system restore like this.

Thanks

Somewhere in the top grey area of the Internet Explorer screen you'll see "Address".
To the right of this word, you'll see an aberration in the grey background. It looks
like a "raised" handle. Move your mouse over this mark. It will turn into two arrows
pointing in opposite directions.
Click and hold down the left mouse key when the cursor looks like this.
Still holding the mouse key down, scroll your mouse down. You should see the gray
area re-arrange itself. If you don't get it the first time, just try again.
