MS Windows XP Pro Backup Utility

When trying to backup files. All setup correctly I
believe. However, starts then fails to backup & returns
the following error log report.

"Error returned while creating the volume shadow
copy:80042301
Aborting Backup.
----------------------
The operation did not successfully complete."

Anyone any ideas what's gone wrong with the program?

Sounds like your backup device is not being detected?
