system restore

i must have picked up a bug. my pc was not working right
so i tried restore and it went thru all the moitions but
the end it said restore not complete no changes made.i
went as far back as i could with the same results no
change.while looking for an answer i tried dr watson but
could not find the log.file Drwtsn32.log not on my
computer should it be?and does this have anything with
restore?
