View Full Version : Removing A program

A few months ago I tried installing a program, but the
installation would not complete because the cd was
scratched. I recently bought a new cd but cannot install
it on my computer because part of the program is already
installed on my computer. I went through the control
panel, and tried removing the program, but it's still
there! I also tried installing the new cd, but that just
forces me to remove the program, but it's still there! All
I'm wondering is, how do I remove a program, when it does
not want to be removed from the control panel? Also, I've
done a search on my computer and cannot find any remnants
of the application or files with the game's name in it.
Thanks.

You can use Norton Windoctor to clean the registry. Just delete the files
and empty your trash can. Then run Windoctor and it will remove orphaned
entries.
