View Full Version : Problem with envelope printing

Hi. When I print an envelope on my Dell AIO printer, it insists on printing
it in red, rather than black. I have done what Dell told me to do (gone to
True Black in format, etc.) but I still have color printing on emvelopes.
Everything else prints properly. I am running Windows XP (home) and Word 2002.

Try setting it to print in grayscale and see what happens?

Cari, thanks, but how do I set up for grayscale? I can't find that anywhere
in the printer book or in Word help or the printer help.

Should be in the properties of the printer.
When you use File, Print.... under the 'name' of the printer, will be a box
to the right hand side named Properties.... click on it... It's where you
change the type of paper, size of paper, quality of print etc.

Cari, once again, I have been to the properties many times and have never
seen a grayscale option. This problem only began recently; should I be
telling to print color as B&W, or should I be going to a different print
quality than Normal? Sorry to be so dumb about all of this.

Hello, again. Problem solved. I noticed that my color cartridge was beginning
to run out so I replaced it, and lo, and behold, it started to print envelpes
the way it should. So thanks anyway. Crazy stuff!
