no matter what printer I send to (6 different HP's 3 different Xerox's) and
no matter what program I use (AutoCAD, Microstation, notepad) the print queue
that I am sending from in Windows XP Pro will only release 11 jobs at a time.
the 3 minutes later 11 more jobs.
By passed print server and same result. (created local print queue)
Anybody got any idea about this one?????

XP Pro is limited to 10 simultaneous connections. Each job will probably
count as one connection.

we often have jobs that cosist of anywhere from 25 to 450 different files
combined and sent to a printer - one file at a time. Is there any way to
bypass this?
I don't understand - The connection limit makes sence but the time is still
a question. Why the 3 minute wait? Even if the jobs are still in the queue
it sends more and if they are printed it still waits, and why always a 3
minute wait even if they are printed? if it was a connection limit once the
job is in the queue it should be able to close that connection - right???
(maybe) I am lost on this one

If you are using LPR PORT or lpr.exe this is the RFC 1179 spec.
