I have the same problem on a new computer running windows XP.

I have unistalled Zone Alarm so it is innocent.

Some people have suggested that it might be something to do with my Audigy 2 card. Other than that I am stuck.

I now think I have found a rough and ready solution which slows down the system enough to kill the dcom netman error.

I have put in a password for starting up with General User. (Not for security, just to slow things down).

So far I have rebooted twice and there have been no errors and Sophos has worked.

I got the idea by following the thread at:

http://www.ntcompatible.com/thread22386-1.html

I don't have a Draytek Vigor 2200USB ADSL Router nor do I have Norton Antivirus but the same rough solution worked.

Hope this helps.
