How to delete process at start up

When I start up windows xp a process called pctspk.exe
(modem) starts. And uses almost all of the resources of
my cpu. I know the computer works without it because I
disabled it with msconfig.exe. I want to know how can I
permanently remove it from startup (it doesnt start from
startup menu). Thanks
