[Bruce McFadden]

According to a MS Knowledge Base art # 302796 I should have an icon
called Performance and Maintenance in the Control Panel. There is no
such icon on my system. I have seen it alluded to in several other MS
KBs Am I missing something handy?

Hi Bruce,

My Control Panel does not have that shortcut either. Try the alternate
method mentioned in the article:

Open a command prompt window:
Click Start, click Run, and then type CMD.
Press the ENTER key, and then type Net Start at the command prompt to make
sure that the System Restore service is up and running.
