I have a customer who is constantly being prompted to install Microsoft
Fax whenever he boots up his machine

He recently purchased an installed a copy of DVD Cover Pro, but could
not get it to work. He contacted the software vendor who recommended
removing the following files:

tssBalloonTip2.dll
vbalFlBr6.dll
SSubTmr6.dll
vbalIml6.ocx
vbaListView6.ocx
COMCT232.OCX
OutlookShortcutBar.ocx
vbalCmdBar6.ocx
vbalDTab6.ocx
SmartButton.ocx
SmartSubClass.dll

He's tried removong it thru the Control Panel (Add/Remove Windows
Components but it still happens.

He is running a Celeron 2.4Ghz, with 256Mb RAM with XP .

If anyone has a solution to fix this problem I'd be happy to hear it.

I suggest using the System Configuration utility to see if he can determine
what is loading at Startup that wants to install Fax.

How to troubleshoot by using the System Configuration utility in Windows XP
