Print Spooler not running...

Hello all...
I am suddenly getting this error message that says " printer properties
cannot be displayed. The print spooler service is not running" I checked
services.msc
and status shows started and automatic, but I still cant print.
I have XP and printing on a 2 computer network.
Can anybody help??

The print spooler must be started on both the PC you want to print from AND
on the PC to which the printer is attached.
