I had a 500mb file and while it was being created my computer froze, so I had
to restart it and now I have these huge .tmp files. What can I do to recover
my movie?

Probably best to remove those and re-capture

As it's a temp file and it was broken during capture I'm not sure if you'll
get it back. Try a file recovery programme.

Among file recovery programs one of the best IMHO is Active@ undelete
utility. It never failed me before so I'm pretty sure it might help.
