Searching for files return nothing

after upgrading to XP Pro, I have problem searching for
files that contain a particular text in it. Most of the
time, it returns no file even though I am sure there are
files that contain the phrase I entered. I tried putting
*.* in the filename field. I install indexing. All don't
work.

Any ideas?
