i cant get my computer to recognize.....

i just found the chord that came with my camera ( sharp veiwcam Z or
something) i Connected camcorder to an analog composite to S–video input
(the chord with the 4 pins thats kidna round) and my pc doesnt say anything
is attached, do i need to download something...im really lost

Is the cam a digital one? If so buy a firewire cable and maybe a firewire
card for the pc. If it's an analogue cam you need proper analogue
hardware/sofware, which we can recommend if needed.
