i recently tried to visit a site and my internet explorer would close would
not give error message just simply closes down i am running windows xp pro
without service packs. i have visited many sites but this is a first for me
can anyone help. i dont understand it

Why are you running Windows XP without any service packs and then having to
ask why things are going awry? Your system is no longer supported by MS.
While I grant that you have the right, please bring your system up to date
in order to protect yourself from threats and issues long ago dealt with.
We will be happy to help walk you through this. After your system is
current if the problem you describe persists we probably can help you to
track it down.

Hi,

As Colin has stated, running without the service packs is an invitation to
trouble. You need to install SP2 immediately to update the system properly
as there are *many* security updates since the original release. In the
meantime, to deal with the immediate problem:
