I have a new operating system, XP, a new hard drive,
shown as C drive, a new motherboard, new memory, etc.
Essentially a new computer. I kept the old hard drive and
it is shown as D, E, and F drives. I use a new copy of
Explorer and Outlook that is on C drive. Generally, I
have had no problems accessing data from the old hard
drives.I want to get some archived message information
from the old Outlook that is on D drive. I can find the
old Outlook, along with all of its' folders. I can't open
them. The screen that says "what program do you want to
use to open this program" doesn't list Outlook. If you
use the "search the web for this extension" feature, it
says it doesn't know this file extension. How do I open
these files?

Hi,

you cannot open the file direclty but u can create a
profile in outlook and then point the location of the
personal folder to this folder that u are talking about.
then u can open outlook and browse to the personal folder
and view all the files.
