I have bought a new game for my pc (windows xp). It
keeps just crashing and returning me to my desktop, with
no warning or error messaging or anything. This is not
the only game this happens with. I think it has something
to do with directx 8.1. I keep trying to install this,
but apparently xp comes with this, but another game I
have says that my computer does not have it!
So, how do I check to see if I do have directx 8.1, how
do I check if it works, and what else can I do and check
to stop this game, and others, from simpling crashing and
kicking me out.
I may add, I am not that computer literate, so please
make it simple and a step by step guide.
