NEED FIX


just performed a reinstall of xp pro. now my power
settings in control panel seem to be missing.

I was setting preferences, received error as stated in
302713. Deleted Home/Desktop reset preferences and saved
as home/destop. Closed power schemes and waited nothing
reopened and all schemes where gone except portable
laptop. Tried again using new name. Appeared to save but
after closing and reopening it was gone. I then did
restore 1, then 2 , and 8 days back, schemes never
returned.

i've lost the hibernate function, as well as the ability
to use the sleep key on my keyboard.

any suggestions?
