XP search shows wrong results.

I've recently upgraded my "windows me" system to "windows
XP professional". It was working quiet well for sometime,
then it started giving a strange problem.

When I use the search companion and enter some search
criteria (irrespective of this criteria) it is giving "0
search results found" everytime I perform a search.

Please help!
