Hi, I recently got SP1 for XP Pro, and have noticed sound
problems, which sound like skipping, on media that is on
my harddrive.
I looked in Task Manager, and "System - SYSTEM" keeps
jumping to around 6% cpu every so often, like 10-15
seconds. It never did this before, and the name "system"
is very vague as to what it could be. Is it services? I
turned off a few such as system restore but the same
problem.
It causes games (being the most noticeable as its under
full load) to stutter and stop responding for a second or
two.
