Can't find documents?

When I click on documents, I don't see any of them?
Please help??I'm using XP, don't know what to do? Thanks,

In Explorer, click search, type "doc" without the quotes and press enter.
If your documents are there, this should find them. They may not be in the
location you expect but this should find them.
