I need to free up some space on my c: drive and I want to move Movie Maker to
D:, however every time I try to move or remove the program, it reinstalls
itself on C:. Can anyone tell me how to remove that install routine?

There isn't one. It's considered part of Windows and must be installed on
the same drive as Windows. If you need more room on your C: drive, consider
moving the My Documents folder. Right click on the icon on the desktop and
relocate the whole folder to another hard drive.

I've always found it best to run all the programmes from the operating
system drive, mostly C: and all other stuff goes on my other drives.
