System Restore

Any Ideas ?

I can't create a restore point, whether I'm logged in as
an administrator or not.

System restore appears enabled on all drives and the
service appears to be running.

I've rebooted, re-installed, but I'm always told that a
restore point can not be created at this time. Is there a
cure for this or should I just forget about system restore
and use a third party back-up package.

I'm running XP-Home.

Any help would be much appreciated
