What Ive done:
-Reformatted
-Installed DirectX 9.0c, Latest Nvidia Forceware, and SP2
-Also Installed Grand Theft Auto
My Problem:
-I go to play GTA and the menu comes up, When I click play, It loads but
then the screen goes pitch black and locks up. The other day I pressed
CTRL+ALT+DEL just before the screen went black and I had a window with the
following error:

DirectDraw Fatal Error!
Cannot lock surface(real DirectDraw Drivers not installed)
Please contact your vendor for updated display drivers.

But I did. So I typed "dxdiag" in the Run prompt and tested my DirectDraw,
It passed all the tests except when it was going to do a full screen test
with a black box bouncing, It froze..... So id say my DirectDraw doesnt like
full screen apps? Please help me. Email me at
