NTBackup question

Hi

I have installed ntbackup from the Win-XP (home) cd-rom.

However when I try to open the file I have backed up, the program (ntbackup)
opens instead, i.e the file apparently turns out to be a shortcut to the
program. What am I doing wrong?

Also, does the progarm support cd-roms as backup media?
