I'm stuck!

When i attempt to install or uninstall a program, I get
a failure notice that either I am running in safe mode
(which I am not) or I have a problem with my windows
installer.PLease I want to know the way to fix this
problem.

Go to Start>Run Type: sfc /scannow Make sure your WinXP CD is in
the Drive. This will attempt to repair your
system
files.
