What are these?

** Svchost.exe is a generic process name for services that run from
dynamic-link libraries (DLLs). When you start Windows XP, Svchost, exe
constructs multiple lists of service groupings that need to be loaded. Each
instance can run at the same time. See http://tinyurl.com/40bm for more
information.
Recommendation :
Nothing you can do about it!
** Ccapp.exe is the Symantec Common Client Application which is included
with Norton AntiVirus 2003 and Norton Personal Firewall 2003.
Recommendation :
Leave It ALONE! (UInless, of course, you don't have a Symantec Product -
then figure out what's going on. heh)
** GMT.exe means you have GATOR installed! It is a background program which
is part of the Gator GAIN software (Gator Advertising and Information
Network). Gator GAIN is what we call adware (advertising spyware). Gator
GAIN is used by software manufacturers to enable them to offer you the FREE
use of their software - instead, they receive advertising revenue through
the advertisements displayed by the Gator GAIN add-on whenever you are using
their software.
Recommendation :
Download SpyBot Search & Destroy or LavaSoft Ad-Aware and use one of them to
remove Gator and any other adware or spyware. Note, however, that in some
cases removing adware will totally disable the application which installed
it, and this maybe an application which is important to you, so you may want
to initially only disable this with Startup Manager while you ascertain how
Gator Gain got into your PC.

With task manager open click on applications tab and see what the programs
are. If you then right click the application and 'go to process' it will
tell you what process controls that application.

Svchost.exe is a core component of Windows and it is normal and
expected to see it listed multiple times in Task Manager.
ccapp.exe is a component of Norton Antivirus and/or Norton Internet
Security and is required in order for these to function properly.
gmt.exe is a spyware product installed by Gator (and possibly others).
It should be removed completely from your computer. Download AdAware
6 (free) from www.lavasoft.de and install & run it to clean the
spyware off your computer.
Good luck

If you need a startup manager you may want to try InControl.
Look at it at http://www.virtuoza.com/InControl/product.php
