Something has gone wrong with my windows xp. When I start
my computer it goes to the XP start up screen then pops
over to the safe mode start up screen. No matter what
option I pick the computer will not boot to windows.
Gateway has been no help - they basically told me I would
have to talk to there pay service to find out how to back
up my files to dos without losing them before iI reinstall
windows. If anyone can tell me how to back up my files
before I reinstall windows it would be greatlly
appreciated. I can not get into windows at all so I need
to save them to Dos (if Possible). I have heard of a dirty
install where you can install xp without losing any stored
information. Is this real and if so how do you do it?

Thanks
