I feel like a complete newbie, and yet i swear I'm not. Have Window Media
Center PC and been pretty happy with it. Suddenly the DVD's I play have
absolutely no sound coming from them. I have a couple different DVD players
and its all the same: picture is fine, but no sound at all. All other video
files I have played perfectly - sound included. I dont believe its hardware
since I can play CD's from the DVD drive. ANy suggestions?

Did you install anything that could have affected your MPEG2 audio
decoder? You can try reinstalling whatever software you use to view
DVDs, as this should install all required components.

Thanks. I reinstalled the new driver for my sound card and she's back to
working now. Had me stumped for a bit there.
