I have been trying to make an ASR disk for a while now,
and I can't even fit it onto a 100MB zip disk. I just
loaded windows xp onto my computer and have no other
programs loaded. It is trying to make me make a 1GB ASR
disk. Obviously this is not very possible. I have my
hard drive partitioned to have 30GB and 90GB and have
windows loaded onto the 30GB partition. I really need
help.

Also, I have a 160GB hard drive and the Maxtor box said
that XP would be able to recognize all of the space, but
as you can see from my partitions that is does not. Does
anyone know how I can get this extra 40GB into use?

Thanks,
Coomes

The ASR .bkf file will need to be written to floppies (yeah right), to a =
tape backup device or to another HD. I do not know if it will work if =
written to a partition on the primary HD. I always saved it to a 2nd =
HD. Be advised that if you change partition sizes after the file is =
written that a new ASR file will need to be created or it will resize =
the partitions to what they were.
