View Full Version : Shutting down XP and Office

I have a new Dell Inspiron 8500 laptop running XP home
with all the latest updates (according to Windows
Update). I installed Office XP after delivery (it came
with Wordperfect). I have also updated the Office suite
via the MS web page. When I shutdown the computer I get a
message to shudown any Office apps manually (Outlook is
usually up). If I ignore the box I get the application
not responding box and still have to click to a box to get
the computer to shut down. Is there any setting or
parameter I can change to get it to shut down without the
Office problem? Could there be a conflict with Outlook
Express? Express came with the Laptop.
