cant right click any item in my start menu

hi,
i am currently having this issue.
if i log on to my domain and click start, then try to
right click anything on the start menu nothing comes up
no list or anything. but i can right click on anything
else, the recycle bin and anything not on the start menu.
and when i log on the the local machine i works when i
click start, and i can right click anything. my main
concern is to be able to show My Network Places. but i
cant right click on it when i am on the domain. any
thoughts or suggestions?
