Hi. I use MSIE 6, Build 2800 with Win XP Pro. Lately, for
some reason, when I click a link to download a file, I no
longer get a download dialog box which asks me if I want
to open the file or save it to my computer. Files now
download automatically into my Temporary Internet Files
folder. This is not what I want to happen. I've checked
out my Folder Options-File Types and verified that
the "Confirm open after download" box for all file types
that I normally download (.exe, .zip, .rar, etc.) was
checked. I'm thinking that the problem is within the
Registry but I don't know where to look. Can someone help
me to get the download dialog box back? Any help would be
greatly appreciated. Cheers.

See "Not Prompted to Specify Download Folder for File"
