Unless you didn't explain your poblem completely, logic would tell me
to remove the PCI card,( and put the old one back if there were an old
one), and see what happens then to the 'H' drive.

This should tell you most likely whether the PCI card is the problem or
not.

Quite likely Ken, try not to touch it very much, well you really can't other
than to create a partition. Be preepared to spend some money. These days
data recovery can be done by yourself, still it's dependent on the 'damage'
done. Here's a start...

Happened to me once a long while and was saved by the above link, now I'm
Mr. Diligent Backup, remember to back up all over the place.

Hi,

I recommend Active@ partition recovery utility to restore your
partition. It worked great for me in a simmilar situation and was able
to bring seemingly dead partition back to life.

Hello,

EASEUS DataRecoveryWizard utility can help. Speaking about me, it was
easily able to restore deleted, lost file and unformat drive,
so I think you will also find it quite useful. Really recommended
tool, give it a try.
