You know when you turn your pc on....and the screen comes up with the various
user accounts. Under the name of the user account, there is for e.g. '11 new
emails' written underneath the name....and if you press this it will show you
what email address it refers to.

QUESTION IS: HOW DO YOU GET THIS TO NOT SHOW UP? I don't want anyone to see
how many emails i have and what email account it relates to.

THANK YOU FOR ANY IMMEDIATE HELP!

Compliments of Kelly:

Use TweakUI/Logon/Unread Mail and Repair/Unread Mail Count
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

Disable Unread Mail on the Welcome Screen (Line 100)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

To remove an account or to change the count manually:

Start>Run>Regedit>navigate to this key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\UnreadMail\[Your
E-Mail Address]. In the right pane modify: Message Count, Change it to 0.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\UnreadMail. In
the right pane modify: MessageExpiryDays Change it to 0.
